Your provider will inject Botox into your body and you will have tiny punctures following the injection. It may not be noticeable to you, but they can cause problems if you want to wear makeup right after the procedure.

During the first four hours following the procedure, you should refrain from applying makeup to your face in order to avoid getting an infection or complications. Make sure that you wait at least 30 minutes for the small injection punctures to heal if you need to wear makeup sooner than that.

Even though you may want to conceal the swelling with makeup, it's best to let your skin rest. If you are uncomfortable walking around barefaced, ask your provider how long you should wait. For more information about using makeup right after a Botox treatment, contact Chester Skin and Wellness.
